Non-Surgical treatment starts from monitoring a child. Through observation the physician can come to the conclusion that the spine is not going to worse. X-rays on regular 6months interval helps to detect the condition. Then if required and if the compensatory curves congenital scoliosis is detected the bracing is required.
But if X-ray shows that deformity goes to the worse, patients have acute curves, large abnormality or neurological problem, then there is no way other than surgery.
